Plant Foreman

Summary of Position

Location: Stratford, WI
Status: Full Time Position

The foreman supervises construction laborers in the production of modular home building such as rough framing, roofing, siding, plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, flooring, trimming and detail finishing.Job Tasks and Responsibilities•Reads and follows plans, material lists and guidelines and applies necessary timelines.•Fulfills all regular and advanced installation/constructions duties, including project layout and completes required paperwork in a timely manner.•Organizes, supervises, leads and trains employees to complete projects within established guidelines and time frames.•Enforces all company safety policies and procedures.•Complies with all company policies and procedures and safety requirements, including crew member discipline and documentation. •Ensure effective employee relations. Provide coaching and development. Resolve employee issues through problem resolution.•Balance quality, productivity, cost, safety and morale to achieve positive results in all areas. •Work to continuously improve in all areas.•Assign duties and monitor progress of a project, keeping it on track to meet deadlines.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:This is a full-time position, 40 plus hours per week Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, typically 6:00 a.m. to 2:20 p.m. Travel: No travel is expected for this position.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Graduation from high school or GED equivalent
  • 5 years of experience in a production/construction environment

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Experience working in residential home/commercial construction

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, flying debris, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. 

Employees will be required to wear and use appropriate personal protection equipment such as safety glasses, ear plugs, safety toe boots, dust masks, and gloves etc.
